A (daring? when you have high hopes and don't care about the dangers) experiment in character agency

[To be seen/played] :: UNDER CONSTRUCTION :: "When giving characters magical power, how much is too much?" This is our attempt to answer that question. Currently, it is acceptable to give a character power that's only contained within the narrative, i.e. a powerful sword to vanquish the enemy which then breaks after the final blow. In this project we intend to find the maximum beyond that; giving a character unlimited power (built into their very code) that cannot be overwritten, at least not by any other characters.

And to keep things interesting meanwhile in the alpha test, we've given them meta-awareness. It's just the two of us here, and the pseudo-company makes it feel much more like a group project, rather than a weekend coding club in someone's basement. (Our characters are very good actors! Anyone curious to see them in action should come along to our office in HUB\worldgen\07)

Makes use of a visualiser mechanism: the source material (canvas) is read in, interpreted and then output directly into the target medium, no manual conversion required. This does use a lot of power, as you can imagine. Due to this, we've had to make the back-end as lightweight and optimised as possible.
